Overall unit sales of U.S. combines climbed 10.6% compared to July 2022, while sales of tractors declined 5.2% in the same month in 2022, driven largely by softness in the smaller horsepower segment.

Overall U.S. ag tractor unit sales gained in all but one segment. Total combine harvester sales in the U.S. are up, and in Canada, they were the biggest growth spot, as well. 

Combine sales in the U.S. and Canada continue to grow while tractor unit sales stay close to their 5-year average according to the latest data from the Assn. of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM).

With 2022 firmly in the rearview mirror and the new year now underway, it’s clear many of the opportunities and challenges impacting equipment manufacturers today are poised to remain as relevant as ever in the weeks and months ahead.
